Dress in Blue Day is March 5

Teammates are encouraged to wear blue on Friday, March 5 to support colon cancer awareness.

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer is one of the few cancers that can be prevented through screening and due to COVID-19, the number of colonoscopies declined nearly 90 percent in April 2020 from the previous year.

Send us your blue pics, and we’ll post them here.

My name is Lara Lambert. I am a part time physician at Roper Hospice Cottages and also a Colorectal Cancer Stage 3 survivor.  I was diagnosed at age 40 after having symptoms for almost 3 years but i thought i was too young to have anything serious going on. I am wearing blue today because by doing so, you bring awareness to this disease and support to our work, as well as honor all of those who are impacted by colorectal cancer.
