Introducing two new associate vice presidents in Roper St. Francis Physician Partners

Dear teammates,

I’m excited to provide the next two leadership changes that will bolster our system’s focus on quality, experience and outcomes.

Recently, our President and CEO Dr. Jeff DiLisi announced leadership enhancements that will more clearly define the role of our Integrated Practice Network leaders. Last week, Matt Desmond introduced four new associate vice presidents who also will serve as chief administrative officers.

Today, I want to share with you who will serve as AVP of the Orthopaedics and Neurosciences Services IPN and who will serve as AVP of the Primary Care IPN. Both will focus on physician access, engagement, safety, patient experience within RSF Physician Partners and serve as leaders of Roper St. Francis Physician Partners operations.

Julie Graudin, Associate Vice President of the Orthopaedics and Neurosciences Services IPN

Julie began her healthcare career with Roper St. Francis in 1991 as a corporate auditor. As one of the initial members of the audit department, Julie helped to develop the structure and focus of the internal audits performed within the system. Over the course of almost 29 years with RSFH, Julie has held leadership roles in Revenue Cycle and Finance through management of Access, Pre-services, Management Accounting and Decision Support departments.

Julie has been key in multiple system-wide initiatives including membership on the planning and image committees for Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, establishment of the Labor Management Committee and development of the Accountability Team. She has also been key in implementing palm scanning for patient identification, best practice point of service collections, and the Management Accountant function across the system.

In 2018, Julie moved over to Physician Partners taking the role of Director of Operations for Specialty Care along with IPN leadership for Neurosciences. Along with her dyad partner Dr. Byron Bailey, she helped consolidate neurosurgery to the Bon Secours St. Francis campus, initiated the Spine Intake Clinic and restarted the Pain Management program. In late 2020, she also assumed the Orthopedic Services IPN leadership position, which she shares with Dr. John Graham.

Jim Bowron, Associate Vice President of the Primary Care IPN

Jim Bowron has been a leader with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners since 2009. He started his healthcare career in 1997 as a receptionist for a RSFH internal medicine practice at Roper St. Francis. After several years as a practice manager he went into healthcare and small business consulting with the accounting firm Gamble Givens and Moody in Charleston.

He returned to RSFH in 2009 where he has shown steady and successful leadership with exceptional results. Some of his accomplishments include 2015 PCMH recognition of 19 primary care practices, Express Care development and expansion and the successful recruitment of more than 20 primary care physicians.

Jim successfully collaborates with physician leaders to drive results in quality. He has served as the director of RSFPP Primary Care, Behavioral Health and Endocrinology and IPN dyad leader with Dr. John Rowe since 2017.

We are fortunate to have Julie’s and Jim’s valuable experience and talents. Please join me in welcoming them to their new roles.

Sincerely,

Kathy Guatteri
